Being able to animate objects in TerraExplorer is great; But at the moment these must be done by adding individual 3D objects. When loading in 3D models from a shapefile the option to animate the objects is greyed out.
If each object could be animated it could give life to created videos. For example animating human avatars in a scene would truly be amazing.

I'm talking about the option: Model type- animation/still (not dynamic ground/aerial objects) |

Hi Will,
Though it is enable it TE6.0.1
There is a known bug that prevents the animated model from being displayed
properly. Best regards, Yaniv

Do you think that in a future release this may be fixed? Will

Sure, but I cannot tell
what is the time frame for this bug. As a workaround, using
TEv.6.0.1 you can load the animated model from a shape file, only if the layer
was loaded as Entire (and not streaming). But if you try to edit a specific
model, you get an error and the model disappears. Yaniv |
