We have imported a DXF file. (LT 2007 DXF format) It displays all of the layers separately which is good, however,we can't switch the display of some of them off because they don't show the checkbox. (Even though the data is displaying on the map) With other layers, we can't change the symbology.
In the user guide it states " Feature layers based on DXF files are read-only. Layers can contain more than one type of geometry."
Even if they are read only, I would have thought we can alter the symbology.
Are we able to easily alter the symbology for these Cad layers or is this functionality limited ?
If you want to download the DXF file (which is 6 Mb) click on this link. It should be downloadable for another couple of weeks.

Its projection is Australia MGA Zone 54. |

Hi Georgie, TerraExplorer uses 2 plugs to load DXF layers: -
DXF – supports R14
format -
Gdal plug – see http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_dxf.html
for supported elements. Gdal plug loads the DXF as 4 layers (Polygons, Polylines, Text and Points) that can be adjusted based on the attribute table. Best Regards, Yaniv Dayan |
